About Nynke Jacobs
My objective it to create a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental environment. With a collaborative approach and focus on strengths, I support my clients on their path of coping with difficulties and creating a life consistent with their values, hopes and dreams.
I use a variety of evidence-based interventions. I’m predominantly trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), in addition to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Solution Focused Therapy. I’m passionate about flexibly implementing interventions from different approaches to find the right fit for you.
Outside of work, I love to be physically active by riding my bicycle, going for runs, hiking, doing yoga and Pilates. Connected to their proven benefits to mental health, I incorporate strategies to help others embrace physical exercise, healthy diet and other life style changes. My extensive travel experience allowed me to explore and connect with diverse cultures, which is reflected in my passion to work with people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, as well as from all walks of life. I value strong social connections and spend a lot of my spare time with friends and family.
